Love, note. This is the day we share our love notes. Digitally and otherwise. Acting fake surprised and spend some time with our lovers, celebrating flutters from the butterflies in our eyes.

But do we really see, with interruptions omnipresent? Are we present before, during and after our presents?

Or do we trade blowjobs for balloons and chocolate, then return to scrolling on our glass handheld mini-tablets, our bellies fat and well fed?

Love means being seen

Not saying this to be mean but when was the last time we looked at each other, unbothered by the screen? I want you to see me and for you to know I see you too, my phone should be locked and tucked away like only lovers do.

And I don’t mean the type of presence where everyone online can see where we checked in, what movie are we Netflix-and-chilling or what the fuck kind of card and trinquet you got me.

I want to feel you got me. Here and now. And make you feel I got you, too, mindful, mind you, for you with you in you by you. For me.

Love ourself enough

So, let’s love ourselves enough.

Let’s love each other, if we’re so lucky to have another than our hand and our smartphone to call home and/or celebrate this crazy little thing with.
